Blasting system is a method that prepares a surface by removing all kinds of coatings and pollutants such as old paint layers, foils, casting filings, etc.
At the same time pollutant removal produces rugosity over the treated surface, not only improving its visual aspect but also giving depth so that any kind of coating or paint can be applied.
The rugosity obtained by blasting will depend on the type of abrasive used and on the hardness of the surface to be blasted.
As a result rugosities ranging from 5 microns up to more than 150/200 microns can be obtained.
Another advantage of the system is that it leaves the surface clean and dry eliminating the drying time that is required to apply any coating; time which is wasted in processes such as chemical damp blasting, descaling or high pressure hydrowash.
Besides providing cheap, fast and easy operating processes, blasting machines by centrifugal turbines or compressed air also have the great advantage of being closed circuits, therefore, they avoid environmental pollution and put workers under no risks.
Cym Materials can offer different equipments to be used in the blasting of all kinds of parts. They are easy adapted to the diversity of works needed in the industry. Whether they are high volumes of work such as ships, petroleum tanks and railway wagons or small amounts such as screws or glasses frames.
The great number of shot blasting machines sold in the metallurgical industry over the past years proves our success. |
