3-Roll and 4-Roll Plate Rolls
CNC plate rolling — precision bending for shells, cylinders and cones
The CNC plate rolling machines supplied by CYM Materiales bend shells, cylinders, cones and formed sections from steel plate ranging from 2 to 200 mm in thickness and up to 12,000 mm in width. Manufactured by AKyapak — a world reference in metal forming with over 60 years of experience — they are available in three-roll and four-roll versions with CNC control.
The choice between three-roll and four-roll depends on the required precision, production volume and part type.

Plate rolling machines are used across a wide range of fabrication processes that require precise bending of steel plate.
3-ROLL PLATE ROLL
- Bends plate with three rolls; pre-bends each end separately.
- Bending of cylinders, shells and cones in medium-thickness plate
- Pre-bending of ends one at a time
- Lower initial investment and straightforward operation
- Ideal for shops handling a variety of parts at medium volumes
4-ROLL PLATE ROLL
- A fourth roll pinches the plate and pre-bends both ends in one pass.
- Automatic pre-bending of both ends without flipping the plate
- Plate is pinched throughout the full cycle: higher precision
- Minimal flat end zones — less material waste
- Ideal for pressure vessel shells and series production
