TAMB-200L line

200 L steel drums — batch and continuous, open and closed

CYM Materiales offers two models of automatic shot blasting machines designed specifically for 200-litre steel drums: the TAM 200L-B batch process model and the TAM 200L-C continuous pass-through model with automatic loading and unloading. Both machines can process closed drums as well as open drums, adapting the number of blast wheels to each process requirement: 2 blast wheels for exterior blasting of closed drums, and 3 blast wheels for simultaneous exterior and interior blasting of open drums.

The TAM 200L-B batch model is the economical and versatile solution for medium-production plants: the operator manually loads the drum onto inclined rollers inside the cabinet, closes the door and the blasting cycle starts automatically under timer control. When the cycle ends, the blast wheels stop, the door opens and the blasted drum is removed manually.

The TAM 200L-C continuous pass-through model eliminates loading and unloading downtime through an automated pneumatic system: drums accumulate on a infeed ramp and are fed one at a time into the cabinet by a pneumatic loading device. When the cycle is complete, a pneumatic discharge device kicks the blasted drum out onto the exit ramp and automatically feeds in the next drum, maximizing production rates of 30 to 60 drums per hour depending on drum type and finish required.

Applications

Uses and shot blasting processes

CYM Materiales TAM 200L shot blasting machines cover the main surface preparation processes for 200-litre steel drums in drum reconditioning, recycling and metal packaging manufacturing. The choice of model and number of blast wheels depends on drum type, required process and production volume.

TAM 200L-B — BATCH BLASTING

TAM 200L-B — BATCH BLASTING

  • Batch process with manual loading and unloading — economical solution for medium production
  • Drum loaded manually onto inclined rollers inside the cabinet
  • Automatic timer-controlled cycle — no operator intervention during blasting
  • 2 blast wheels for exterior blasting of closed drums
  • 3 blast wheels for simultaneous exterior and interior blasting of open drums
  • Manual front door — simple operation and low maintenance cost
TAM 200L-C — CONTINUOUS BLASTING

TAM 200L-C — CONTINUOUS BLASTING

  • Continuous pass-through with automatic loading and unloading by pneumatic devices
  • 3-metre infeed accumulation ramp — up to 3 drums queued
  • Pneumatic loading device feeds one drum at a time into the cabinet
  • At cycle end, pneumatic discharge device kicks drum out onto exit ramp
  • Output of 30 to 60 drums per hour depending on type and finish required
  • 2 blast wheels closed drums — 3 blast wheels open drums (interior + exterior)
